The modern world needs a new era of healing—one that synthesizes the wisdom and sciences of global traditions, which have never been more accessible. At Mycelia, we are helping to usher in this movement.

An Integrated Residential Treatment Model

Mycelia is designed for adults seeking residential treatment for behavioral health needs, including substance use disorders, trauma-related conditions, depression, anxiety, and appropriate co-occurring conditions.

The treatment philosophy emphasizes whole-person, trauma-informed care. Individualized programming is intended to address presenting behavioral health conditions as well as underlying factors that may contribute to distress, substance use, behavioral patterns, relationships, and overall well-being. Treatment may incorporate evidence-based psychotherapy and approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic therapies, neurofeedback, functional medicine, and recovery support. These may be complemented by meditation, yoga, breathwork, physical activity, nutrition, nature-based programming, and other therapeutic and mind-body practices appropriate to the individual resident.

Mycelia is not proposed as a resort, transient lodging facility, recreational retreat, outpatient treatment center, or stand-alone psychedelic treatment destination. Residents will be admitted into a structured treatment program and remain on-site while receiving coordinated treatment and support

Modalities

At the foundation of our work is trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical care designed to reach beyond symptoms and address root causes. We integrate modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, somatic experiencing, neurofeedback, and functional medicine to support deep nervous system regulation and lasting change. Rather than pathologizing, we meet each individual with precision, compassion, and personalization—creating a structured container where safety, stabilization, and true healing can occur. This is clinical rigor without disconnection—science in service of wholeness.

Integrated Clinical Trauma Therapy

Our work is grounded in the ancient wisdom of the Himalayan yogic tradition—a living system of practices designed to stabilize the mind, regulate the body, and awaken deeper awareness. Through daily sādhanā—including meditation, kriya, breathwork, and āsana—clients develop a direct relationship with their inner world. These time-tested disciplines are not adjunct—they are essential. They provide the structure that allows insight to become embodiment, and transformation to become sustainable.

Himalayan Yogic Approach

State-regulated natural medicine may be incorporated into a resident’s treatment program when clinically appropriate, voluntarily selected, and permitted under applicable Colorado law. It is not proposed as a stand-alone service, is not appropriate for every resident, and does not define the overall treatment program. When incorporated into an individualized treatment plan, natural medicine may occur within the same broader continuum as screening and preparation, supervised administration, psychotherapy and clinical care, post-session integration, residential support, Sādhanā, and aftercare. This structure allows natural medicine to function as one potential therapeutic tool within an established residential treatment relationship, rather than as an isolated encounter.

Aftercare &
Continued Community

Mycelia’s treatment continuum extends beyond the residential stay through structured aftercare and continued community support. The transition from residential treatment into everyday life is an important period for applying new skills and sustaining behavioral change. Aftercare is intended to maintain continuity between the work undertaken at Greystone and the resident’s life following discharge through ongoing therapeutic support, accountability, integration, and community.

Together, residential treatment, Sādhanā, integration, and aftercare are intended to help residents carry the work undertaken during treatment forward into their families, relationships, communities, and daily lives.

At the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science, we illuminate a deeper path to healing where individuals can remember that they have been whole all along.
