What if Evergreen, Colorado could be the home of a new paradigm in healing?

We aren’t here to disturb a strong community. We aren’t here to ruin anyone’s property value, build any fences to disrupt the ecosystem, or create chaos. We are here to share the special land of Evergreen for a deeply intentional cause. It is our promise to navigate every step with consideration, while staying true to a vision we believe can change lives. What if we could work together to create a peaceful and quiet sanctuary for healing?

Mycelia is different from other programs.

Mycelia offers an integrated approach to healing for individuals who are ready to address the root of their suffering. We do not identify as a rehab, detox center, or treatment facility. Our clientele are high-net-worth, high profile individuals, executives, founders, creatives, and leaders, who are looking for private, discreet therapeutic immersion in a safe and luxurious environment. We will also offer a scholarship program for locals, vets and Indigenous people.

The goal is for Mycelia and its surrounding community
to embrace the importance of healing, together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we building Mycelia in Evergreen, Colorado?

Evergreen offers a rare balance—deep mountain quiet with close proximity to a major international airport. It allows for true retreat without complete disconnection, which is essential for both accessibility and integration.

More importantly, the land itself matters.

Greystone Manor provides an environment that naturally supports immersion in nature and the kind of inner work Mycelia is designed for. There is a depth and presence to the property—something that can’t be manufactured or replicated.

Over the past 34 years, the Bard family has cared for this land with intention. What exists there now is not just a property, but a place that has been thoughtfully stewarded and prepared over time.

Mycelia is not imposing something new onto the land—it is stepping into something that is already alive and ready.

What does this mean about residential property value?

Mycelia will operate in a manner consistent with a private residence, with an emphasis on quiet, structure, and respectful use of the land. In many ways, this is a lower-impact use than other potential outcomes for the property—such as boutique hospitality, higher-density development, or private ownership that could involve frequent large gatherings.

Our program is intentionally designed to minimize noise, traffic, and disruption. Unlike many residential or commercial uses, we do not center our environment around nightlife, events, or alcohol.

It’s also worth noting that comparable facilities in the area, such as Spero Recovery Center and Red Rock Recovery Center, have not negatively impacted surrounding property values.

Our goal is to be a thoughtful, responsible neighbor while maintaining the integrity and character of the community.

Who will be the clientele staying at Mycelia?

It is important to understand that the individuals receiving care at Mycelia are there by choice. Mycelia is not a detox center, rehab, halfway house, or anything of that nature.

Additionally, the individuals at Mycelia are high-net worth inviduals. Privacy is one of their top priorities. What this means is that they are far more interested in staying away from you, and maintaining their own privacy, than ever leaving the property. While we understand concerns surrounding individuals leaving Mycelia, it is not a realistic outcome in consideration of our clientele and security parameters.

Can you share more about the investors behind Mycelia?

We are working with private investors to fund Mycelia. While we understand your curiosity, it is not at all a standard way of business to disclose investors this early into development. We can share that these individuals have been personally affected, within their families, by traumatic loss due to unresolved trauma and untreated alcoholism, resulted in suicide, overdose, and other tragic outcomes. We appreciate your understanding as we protect their privacy.

What is the screening process for clients at Mycelia? How are we prioritizing safety?

We have a very refined and stringent screening process, including background checks, pharmacology tests, behavioral analysis. This entirely eliminates the threat of sex offenders, offenders of violent crime, and invidiuals with severe drug addiction that will be better served elsewhere. This also means that if patients have a history of psychosis or schizophrenia, they are not candidates for psychedelic care. Our treatment plans are not intended, in anyway, to amplify mental health conditions.

Prior to acceptance at Mycelia, every individual will be assessed by our full clinical team to maintain the harmonious environment will be the standard at Mycelia.

Why are you offering psychedelics at Mycelia? Is that legal?

Our approach is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care. Leading institutions like Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, and Harvard University have shown that psychedelic-assisted therapy—when done with proper screening, preparation, and integration—can be highly effective for depression, PTSD, and addiction.

This isn’t recreational or trend-driven. It’s a carefully held clinical and spiritual process.

As for legality, we take that seriously. We operate in full alignment with the laws and evolving regulatory framework in Colorado.

At its core, this is about offering safe, ethical, and responsible pathways to healing.

What kind of security measures are you taking at your facility? What if there’s an emergency?

Mycelia is designed with safety as a top priority. We maintain a high staff-to-guest ratio, ensuring that each individual is supported and accounted for at all times. Our team is trained to respond quickly and appropriately in any situation, and dedicated security personnel are on site.

In the event of an emergency, we have clear evacuation protocols in place. Our fleet of Sprinter vans allows for the safe and efficient transport of all guests and staff if needed.

We are also located approximately ten minutes from the local sheriff’s station in Evergreen, providing immediate access to additional emergency services when required.
